Classic Bakery is a family business that dates all the way back to 1947. Their secret recipes have been passed down through generations to create their popular cakes and dessert items. Classic Bakery has also won a variety of awards from publications such as The Knot and Wedding Wire. They offer free consultations for all wedding cakes with free samples of up to four different cakes. You’ll have full control over the design of your cake, including your cake type, filling and icing for each layer. You can also rent a cake stand if needed and have your cake delivered for an extra fee.
Sweet Eats Cakes

Based in the northeastern corner of Maryland, Sweet Eats Cakes is owned and operated by Samantha Chmielewski. With more than 20 years of experience, she now creates wedding and specialty cakes along with mini desserts. Her designs are one of a kind and have been featured in American Cake Decorating Magazine and Cake Central Magazine. Her bakery requires 6 months notice for all custom wedding cakes so be sure to plan ahead. While she does not currently ship cakes, she does offer free delivery if you’re located nearby.
Michelle’s Cakes

As a family-run business, Michelle’s Cakes specializes in both wedding cakes and customized art cakes. Located in southern Maryland, the bakery has won numerous awards from The Knot and Wedding Wire such as “Couples’ Choice” and “Brides’ Choice”. You’ll be free to design each part of your cake including seasonal flavors and color theme. Feel free to bring any photos and color samples as well to your consultation while you discuss your ideas with Michelle. You can also add an additional order of cupcakes and small desserts if you’ll be having a larger wedding with more guests.
SugarBakers Cakes

Started in 1996 by Jamie Williams and her husband and business partner Gene, SugarBakers Cakes creates custom cakes for a variety of events including weddings. Each of their staff members is professionally trained and has earned awards from Wedding Wire, Cake Hunters, and The Knot. All of their wedding cakes are designed specifically for your own special day. SugarBakers Cakes also offers complimentary tastings and design consultation for you to share photos, invitations, patterns, and any other inspiration. We recommend ordering your cake at least six months in advance to ensure timely delivery and design.
